People & Business :: Companies Rentech shuts R&D unit9:59 AM MST | March 1, 2013 Synthetic fuel and fertilizer company Rentech (Los Angeles) says it will shutter its Commerce City, CO, product demonstration unit and eliminate related R&D activities. Rentech says approximately 65 employees will be affected. The company says it will focus on growth opportunities within the energy industry that do not rely on new technologies. Rentech will attempt to sell the unit as well as approximately 450 acres of land in Natchez, MS, that it acquired for the development of an alternative energy...
