People & Business :: Companies Private Equity Firm Buys BOC Edwards from Linde...12:10 PM MDT | July 26, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Private equity firm CCMP Capital has agreed to buy BOC Edwards from Linde, for £460 million ($895 million), with an additional £45-million payment if CCMP meets certain profit targets. BOC Edwards supplies equipment and services to the semiconductor, flat panel display, chemical, metallurgical, analytical instrumentation, and R&D industries. The divestment follows Linde’s acquisition of BOC last year (CW, Sept. 6/13, 2006, p. 5). Separately, Air Liquide says it has acquired Linde’s non-BOC gases activities in the U.K. for €105...
