Praxair to build air separation unit for steel company in Korea

Praxair announced on 23 January that it has signed a long-term contract with Taewoong Steel Co. (Daegu, South Korea) to supply high-purity oxygen to that company’s steel mill facility at Busan, Korea. Praxair will construct a 180-m.t./day air separation plant and pipeline that will serve Taewoong and other new and existing customers. Plant start-up is expected in 2016. “This new state-of-the-art plant will enable us to meet growing industrial gases demand from businesses across South Korea,” says S.B.
