People & Business :: Companies Praxair starts up new air separation unit for Indian steel mill10:00 AM MST | January 18, 2013 | Lindsay Frost Praxair India, a subsidiary of Praxair and India’s leading industrial gases supplier, has started up its third production facility to supply Usha Martin Ltd. (West Bengal, India), a wire and rope manufacturer, with oxygen and nitrogen. The air separation unit (ASU) will supply the gases to support Usha Martin’s Jamshedpur, India steel mill expansion. The plant has production capacity of about 130 m.t.s/day of gaseous oxygen and 65 m.t./day of gaseous nitrogen.
