PolyOne reports fourth-quarter net income down 75%, EPS up 17%

PolyOne reported fourth-quarter net income down 75%, to $3 million, compared with the year-ago period. However, the company says adjusted fourth-quarter earnings per share (EPS) were up 17%, to 21 cts/share. Adjusted earnings were in line with analyst estimates, despite headwinds from taxes, says Thomson Reuters (New York). Revenues increased 6% in the fourth quarter, to $679.4 million, compared with the year-ago period.
