PPG sells float glass plant in Illinois

PPG says it has agreed to sell its float glass manufacturing plant at Mt. Zion, IL, to China's Fuyao Glass America subsidiary at Greenville, SC. Financial details, including purchase price, have not been disclosed, and the deal is expected to close in the third quarter. Fuyao will convert the plant, which currently manufactures float glass for residential and commercial construction, into an automotive glass plant.
