PPG Upbeat About Second-Quarter Results

PPG says it expects second-quarter 2010 earnings to be above year ago levels because of increased demand in its industrial coatings, optical and specialty Materials, commodity chemicals and glass segments. Regional growth will also lift earnings, PPG says. The architectural coatings-EMEA business, however, “is experiencing mid-single-digit percentage volume declines,” the company says.
