Nalco's Quarterly Earnings Rise on Emerging Markets

Nalco’s third-quarter earnings doubled to $59 million (42 cts/share), on sales up 14%, to about $1.1 billion. Adjusted earnings were 42 cts/share compared to 31 cts/share in the year-ago period after adding back unusual items. Adjusted Ebitda rose 6%, to $196 million because of growth, productivity programs, and an incentive adjustment, Nalco says.
