Nalco Earnings Rise, Beat Estimates

Nalco's quarterly earnings rose 6%, to 18 cts/share, in the first-quarter, the company announced today. The company recorded $25 million in income, up from $23 million during the same period last year. Adjusted earnings per totaled 31 cts/share, beating analyst estimates of 25 cts/share. Sales totaled $956.6 million, compared to $868.4 million in the first-quarter of 2009. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter was $164 million, up $28 million from the same period last year.
