Mosaic cuts outlook for potash shipments

Mosaic has lowered its annual outlook for 2013 global potash shipments because of weaker demand in India and a delay in settling a second-half contract between Canpotex, its export agency, and China’ Sinofert Holdings; a fertilizer company. The new estimate for shipments is 54–55 million m.t., down from a previous estimate of 55–57 million m.t. The company made the update at an investor meeting in New York on 7 October.
