Monsanto to Launch $1-Billion Share Buyback

Monsanto’s board of directors has authorized a three-year, $1-billion share repurchase program, to take effect on July 1. It will begin once Monsanto’s existing share repurchase program, also worth $1 billion, runs out. That program was authorized in July 2010.   Monsanto has also declared a 30 cts/share quarterly dividend, payable on July 27 to shareholders as of July 6.
