Impending competition from Mideast petchem producers, high raw materials costs, especially for key naphtha feedstock, and other challenges have caused Mitsui to turn its sites on the less cyclical specialty chemical sector. The company is allocating a significant level of management resources to launch new specialty products, and intends to raise fiscal 2007 sales from specialty chemicals...
