Mitsui Chemicals-Formosa Plastics electrolyte jv gets green light from Taiwan's Fair Trade Commission

Formosa Plastics' and Mitsui Chemicals' previously announced joint venture to produce electrolyte solution at Formosa’s Ningbo, China site, has been approved, according to a statement from the Fair Trade Commission of Taiwan. The jv does not constitute a threat to the Taiwanese lithium-ion battery market the commission says. The jv still awaits approvals from Investment Commission of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
