Mitsubishi Corp. Buys Stake in Indian Agchem Custom Manufacturing Firm

Mitsubishi Corp. says it has acquired a 19.5% stake in Deccan Fine Chemicals India (Hyderabad), an independent company engaged in the business of custom manufacturing of agchem active ingredients and intermediates, and fine chemicals, for about Rs83.85 million ($1.75 million). With India’s competitive manufacturing costs, Mitsubishi will now be able to make attractive offers to agchem manufacturing customers who wish to outsource their production of active ingredients or intermediates, Mitsubishi says.
