Makhteshim's net income grows almost 15% during second quarter

Agchem manufacturer Makhteshim Agan (Tel Aviv) today reported $48.2 million in net income during the second quarter, an increase of 14.7% compared with the second quarter last year. Income during the first half of the year grew about 5%, to $1.69 billion, from $1.61 billion during the first half of 2012. Revenue was also up, rising 2.5%, to $803.3 million, during the second quarter of 2013 compared with $783.4 million in the same period last year.
