Linde's Profits Rise for the First Nine Months of 2010

Linde‘s operating profit for the first nine months of 2010 jumped 23%, to €1.7 billion, on sales up 13%, to €9.4 billion because of the improved economy. Net income soared 64%, to €748 million.  "We have taken advantage of the economic recovery and our profitability has continued to increase," says CEO Wolfgang Reitzle. "The measures we have adopted to achieve sustainable improvements in efficiency are having an ever greater effect.
