People & Business :: Companies Linde to provide LNG to power Consol Energy's drilling rigs10:48 AM MST | January 28, 2013 | Lindsay Frost Linde says it has signed a contract with Consol Energy (Pittsburgh) to provide liquefied natural gas (LNG) and related equipment and services to Consol’s operations at the Marcellus and Utica basins. This agreement follows a successful trial of the two companies, after an original agreement announced in September, to replace diesel fuel used to power the engines (gensets) that drive drilling rigs with LNG. Under the new agreement, Linde’s LNG will power gas drilling for Consol and may be expanded to hydraulic fracturing, mining, and marine...
