Linde operating profit falls 2.7% on slight revenue increase, confirms 2014 outlook

Linde says it achieved sales of €4.05 billion ($5.63 billion) in first-quarter 2014, an increase of 1.5% versus the year-ago quarter, or 7.3% after adjusting for exchange rate effects. Operating cash flow in the first quarter was €594 million compared with €522 million in first-quarter 2013, an increase of 13.8% year-on-year (YOY). Operating profit in first-quarter 2014 was €927 million compared with €953 million in the corresponding quarter in 2013, a fall of 2.7% but an increase of 2.8% after adjustment for exchange rate effects...
