People & Business :: Companies Lenzing starts up new capacity at Indonesian rayon-fiber plant8:52 AM MST | November 6, 2012 | Sotirios Frantzanas Lenzing says that trial operations at the fifth production line of the company's subsidiary South Pacific Viscose (SPV; Purwakarta, Indonesia) started in late October. The new production line will add 80,000 m.t./year of rayon-fibers capacity and will increase the total rayon-fiber production capacity of SPV to 320,000 m.t./year, the company says. This line will make SPV the largest rayon-fiber plant in the world, exceeding the production capacity at Lenzing's main site at Lenzing, Austria, by 70,000 m.t./year.
