Lanxess opens production facility for curing bladders

Lanxess says its Rhein Chemie (Mannheim, Germany) subsidiary has opened a previously announced new facility for high-performance curing bladders, which are used in the production of tires, at the company’s site at Porto Feliz, Brazil. The plant has a production capacity of 170,000 m.t./year. A new facility to manufacture predispersed, polymer-bound rubber additives and with a capacity of 1,800 m.t./year will be added at the site in 2014.
