Lanxess Acquires Plastic Composite Sheets Firm in Germany

Lanxess says it has acquired Bond-Laminates (Brilon, Germany), a company that specializes in developing and producing custom-made plastic composite sheets that are reinforced with materials such as glass fibers. The two companies have been working together since 2006 on several projects with the automotive industry, Lanxess says. The transaction is effective immediately, and Bond-Laminates and its management team will be part of the Lanxess high-performance materials business unit, headed by Michael Zobel, the company says.
