Koch to Join Blackstone in Bid for GE Plastics?

Koch Industries has partnered with the Blackstone Group (New York) to bid on GE Plastics, according to details first reported by Reuters. Financial sources confirm the link but add that it is not clear whether the team will be serious bidders. Other reported private equity bidders are Bain Capital (Boston) and partner Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (New York); The Carlyle Group (Washington), which is teamed up with Texas Pacific Group; and Apollo Management (New York). Industry bidders, in addition to Koch, may include Mitsubishi Chemical, Reliance Industries...
