Kemira closes acquisition of polyacrylamide producer 3F Chimica

Kemira says it has closed the acquisition of 3F Chimica (Sandrigo, Italy). The deal was originally announced on 1 July, as previously reported by CW. The transaction, valued at €85 million ($114.8 million), will have a cash-effective impact on Kemira's financial results at the end of the fourth quarter, the company says. 3F produces dry and emulsion polyacrylamide polymers and related process chemicals. Its polymer production is supported by backward-integrated key intermediates, such as bioacrylamide and cationic monomers. 3F expects €70–75...
