Kemira Sells Sulfuric Acid Plant to Boliden

Kemira says it has agreed to sell its 300,000 m.t./year sulfuric acid plant located at Kokkola, Finland to Boliden Kokkola Oy. All 20 employees with transfer with the facility on May 1, 2010. Kemira will continue to operate the chemical terminal at Kokkola and will continue to provide services to Boliden Kokkola. The move forms part of Kemira's restructuring plans to focus on products and solutions for water-intensive industries, such as pulp and paper, oil and mining, municipal and other industrial water treatment.
