People & Business :: Companies Indorama Acquires 51% of Plastics Company in Northern Ireland8:59 AM MST | February 23, 2012 | Sotirios Frantzanas Indorama Ventures (Bangkok) has agreed to acquire, through its indirect subsidiary Beacon Trading (London), a 51% stake in Beverage Plastics (Craigavon, U.K.). Indorama announced the acquisition through the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Financial figures for the acquisition were not disclosed. Beverage Plastics, based in Northern Ireland, makes polyethylene terephthalate (PET) preforms and bottles. It supplies the products to the soft drinks and mineral water industries.
