People & Business :: Companies Increased Storage Capacity Drives Operating Profits Growth at Vopak10:58 AM MDT | April 25, 2012 | Sotirios Frantzanas Vopak says operating profits (Ebit), excluding exceptional items, increased 26% in the first quarter of 2012, to €138 million ($182.3 million) compared with €109.5 million the same quarter of 2011. Vopak's operating profits include a currency translation gain of €3.5 million, and the net result of the company's joint ventures, which rose by 24%, to €26 million compared with €21 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
