Gurit reports 18% YoY increase in fourth-quarter sales

Composite materials supplier Gurit (Zurich) says its sales for the fourth quarter 2013 were SF 75.4 million ($83.9 million), compared with SF 63.9 million in the year-ago quarter, an increase of 18% year-on-year. The composite materials business had sales of SF 58.5 million for the fourth quarter, an increase of 31.9%, according to Gurit. The composite systems and engineering segment achieved sales of SF 16.9 million for the quarter, a 'record high,' says Gurit. Full-year 2013 sales were SF 281.1 million, a drop of 19.9% compared with the sales of SF 351.0...
