German biotech industry anticipates increase in sales

Biotech companies in Germany are anticipating a slight increase in sales this year. The positive prognosis was outlined in results of a survey conducted by the German biotechnology trade association, DIB (Frankfurt). "For the next few months, 80% of companies surveyed are expecting better sales," says Matthias Braun, chairman of DIB. "In spite of this positive development, one will not be able to look back at the year 2013 with euphoria. Economic conditions overall are difficult, especially in Europe," he adds.
