FMC earnings rise on higher sales; full-year guidance maintained

FMC today reported third-quarter net income was up 3.7% year-on-year (YOY), to $90 million, on sales up 5%, to $902.4 million. Adjusted earnings totaled 79 cts/share, slightly higher than analysts' consnsus of 78 cts/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York). The company is maintaining its full-year 2012 earnings guidance at $3.42-$3.52/share, which would represent a 16% increase from the 2011 earnings.
