FMC Net Income Rises 27% on Higher Prices, Volumes

FMC's net income for the first-quarter rose 27% year-on-year, to $119.1 million, on revenues up 18%, to $940.7 million. Earnings totaled $1.71/share. Adjusted earnings totaled $1.94/share, beating analysts' consensus of $1.84/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York). Agricultural products revenues were up 32% year-on-year, to $454.2 million, as segment earnings rose 29%, to $129.7 million.
