Negotiations over project financing and discussions with the Singapore government are at advanced stages, says ExxonMobil chairman and CEO Rex Tillerson. “We expect a final decision in the near future,” Tillerson said at a press conference in New York last week. Some equipment and materials for the project have been ordered, he says. The company announced in late 2004 that it was studying plans to build another cracker at its Singapore site...
