Evonik publishes sustainability report, sets environmental targets for 2020

Evonik Industries says it has set new long-term environmental targets, details of which are published in the company’s Sustainability Report 2013. Evonik plans to reduce its specific greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 12% compared with those of 2012 in relation to its production output by 2020. The indicator includes all direct GHG emissions as well as indirect net emissions from the purchase and sale of energy. Evonik also plans a 10% cut to cut its specific water consumption, which indicates the water consumption in relation to production output by 2020...
