Evonik and Idesa form joint venture to build sodium cyanide plant in Mexico

Evonik Industries says that its CyPlus (Hanau, Germany) subsidiary and Grupo Idesa (Mexico City) are close to signing a joint venture agreement for the construction of a sodium cyanide plant at Coatzacoalcos, Mexico. The planned jv facility will have a production capacity of 40,000 m.t./year and is expected to become operational in the first quarter of 2015, Evonik says.
