Evonik Pledges €2 billion ($3.2 billion) for Energy Program

Evonik Industries says it will allocate up to €2 billion ($3.2 billion) for energy-related projects through 2010 in its three businesses, chemicals, energy, and real estate. Speaking at the Hannover industrial trade show Werner Mueller, chairman of Evonik Industries said that Evonik through its "top-notch, high-tech products, will contribute toward security of energy supplies and, at the same time, toward protection of the environment and climate."
