Employees at former Vinyls Italia Porto Marghera site leave their posts

Workers maintaining safety and security at the former Vinyls Italia site in Porto Marghera, Italy, have walked off the job in protest of nonpayment of nine months of unpaid salaries, according to a report in Venezia Today. About 30 employees left their posts this morning and said they would abandon the site at the change of shift if their outstanding salaries failed to arrive, the report says.
