Ecolab Plans to Repurchase More Shares

Ecolab has announced plains to increase the size of its share repurchase program by 10 million shares, to 28 million shares. The expanded program would be effective upon completion of the company's $8.1 billion acquisition of Nalco, which was announced last month.   The company is currently authorized to repurchase 18 million shares. It had 232 million shares outstanding as of July 31. Shares in Ecolab closed at $49.06/share on August 23. The company's repurchase program does not have an expiration...
