Ecolab, Champion to spin off Champion’s downstream business

Ecolab says the downstream process and water service business of Champion Technologies will be spun off to Permian Mud Service (Houston), Champion’s current owners, prior to the the completion of the previously announced acquisition of Champion. Ecolab believes the move "will eliminate a potential area of concern during the Department of Justice's (DOJ; Washington) review," a spokesperson says.
