Dreamliner write-down weighs on SGL's earnings

SGL Group (Wiesbaden, Germany) says its sales increased 12.2% in the nine-month period ended 30 September 2012, to €1.25 billion ($1.59 billion), including a sales contribution of €55.4 million from recently acquired Portuguese subsidiary Fisipe. Net and operating profits decreased 98% and 37% in the first nine months of 2012, to €900,000 and €80.7 million, respectively. Earnings per share dropped 99%, to €0.01.
