Dow-Rohm and Haas Deal Receives EU Regulatory Clearance

Dow’s proposed $15.3 billion acquisition of Rohm and Haas has received clearance from the European Commission, confirming that the deal does not violate EU antitrust statutes. "The merged entity would continue to face a number of effective competitors at each point in the value chain where crude acrylic acid and its derivatives are used," the Commission says.
