People & Business :: Companies Dow Fires Two Officials Over ‘Unauthorized’ Buyout Talks10:44 AM MDT | July 27, 2007 | Robert Westervelt Dow Chemical fired two senior officials last week, charging that both “were involved in unauthorized discussions with third parties about the potential acquisition of the company.” Dow says that Pedro Reinhard, a senior adviser, former CFO, and current member of Dow’s board, and Romeo Kreinberg, executive v.p/performance plastics and chemicals, conducted buyout discussions with several different parties.
