Dow Corning's Third-Quarter Earnings Fall

Dow Corning’s third-quarter consolidated net income fell 5%, to $176 million. Adjusted net income was $171.6 million, down 7%. Sales rose 7%, to $1.5 billion. “Dow Corning continues to benefit from strong global demand for our silicon-based products,” says Dow Corning’s executive v.p. and CFO Donald Sheets. “This has enabled us to sustain our success while continuing to invest for the future amidst this uncertain economic environment,” Sheets says.
