People & Business :: Companies Dow AgroSciences Buys Seed Business1:15 PM MDT | July 14, 2009 | Vincent Valk Dow AgroSciences has acquired Pfister Hybrids (El Paso, IL), a U.S.-based seed corn outfit, the company announced today. The deal, the value of which was not disclosed, will close "in the near future," Dow says. Dow AgroSciences will buy the rights to Pfister's brand, marketing and sales, and warehousing and administrative capabilities. Dow will continue to sell seeds under Pfister's brand. Pfister's headquarters will remain in El Paso, Illinois, a town in the central part of the state, and most of the company's management will stay in place...
