Dishman to Buy Solvay Pharma Business

Dishman Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals Ltd. (Ahmedabad, India) says it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Solvay Pharmaceuticals (Veenendaal, Netherlands), a unit of Solvay, to acquire Solvay Pharmaceutical’s fine chemicals, vitamin D, and vitamin D analogues business. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquired business focuses on production, marketing, and sales of cholesterol and cholesterol-related products.
