Clariant Rebuilds Momentum
New CEO Stresses Cash Generation, Restructuring

Clariant’s focus for the next few years will be on restructuring as well as cash preservation and generation to support profitability and expansion by 2011 and beyond, Hariolf Kottmann, the company’s new CEO, tells CW. Kottmann: Targeting continuous improvement. Clariant reported a fourth-quarter net loss of SF207 million ($179 million), compared with a SF17-million loss a year earlier.
