Cheniere Energy to build LNG trains, facilities for more than $10 billion

Cheniere Energy (Houston) says its wholly owned subsidiary Corpus Christi Liquefaction; and Bechtel Oil, Gas, and Chemicals have entered into two lump-sum turnkey contacts for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) trains and related facilities near Corpus Christi, TX—dubbed the Corpus Christi Liquefaction project. Each LNG train will be constructed in stages, and they will commence operations on a staggered basis, the company says.
