This Week on CW: The French National Assembly has voted to ban bisephenol A (BPA) in food packaging by 2014. The French Senate has not taken up the bill, which would make France the first country to enact a nationwide BPA ban. Arkema is planning to invest $13.6 million to build an R&D center in China. The company is also considering building a world-scale methyl methacrylate MMA plant in Asia, though the company has not finalized plans for a plant.
