Celanese puts 2 acetyl plants in Europe up for sale

Celanese says it plans to launch a sale process for its acetic anhydride plant at Roussillon, France, and its vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) plant at Tarragona, Spain. Celanese says it is "taking the appropriate time to find a credible buyer for both units, with the primary focus on industrial candidates." The company adds that it is seeking buyers that can integrate the two facilities into their own manufacturing organizations.
