Calgon Carbon swings to profit on higher sales

Calgon Carbon today reported third-quarter net income of $11.9 million, or 22 cts/share, compared with a net loss of $4.5 million during the year-ago quarter. Earnings met analysts’ consensus estimate, which was also 22 cts/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York). Sales were up 2.9% year-on-year (YOY), to $139.4 million.
