CP Kelco expanding pectins capacity in Brazil

CP Kelco announced today that it is expanding capacity by 30% at the company’s pectins plant in Limeira, Brazil. Pectin is a texturizer derived from citrus peels and beet pulp used mainly in the food industry. The total capacity of CP Kelco’s Limeira plant has not been disclosed. CP Kelco is also expanding capacity at a pectins plant in Denmark. “The additional capacity will allow us to meet the growing demand for pectin in application segments such as beverages, confectionery, and dairy products,” says Susanne Sorgel, strategic platform...
