Brussels Charges Companies with Calcium Carbide Price Fixing

The European Commission says it has charged “a number of companies” with participating in an alleged calcium carbide and magnesium powder price-fixing cartel. The commission says it has sent a statement of objections to the companies, but it did not name them.
